Have your stereotypes of a place ever come true?

My hometown of Barnsley has always been stereotyped as the land of flat-caps, whippets, coal mining, funny Yorkshire accents and small red bricked terrace housing.
When my cousin came to visit the other week she said that all the...

For a start, I hope you are proud of who and what you are.

Secondly, to answer your question, I had a stereotyped idea of what it would be like to work for a charity...everybody pals...all friendly etc etc...big mistake. I had been there 2 weeks before I realised

The Ultimate Guide To The Week In Music

Also in this issue, behold the 21st century rock gods, Justice! “We love Hawkwind!” they shout. “We make music that sounds like concrete in the countryside!” they yell. Members with a cup history this season 2 days after season ticket holders (2 per person)

Members without a cup history this season 4 days after members with a cup history (2 per person)

Bearing in mind we'll probably get an allocation of about 8000, itll be on a tuesday and itll be in Manchester im pretty sure there will be enough tickets.

On the flipside, i live in Leeds and can't afford to get to home games. Should I not be allowed a ticket then because I don't have a season ticket?

Judging by the allocation at OT...yea, 8,000 is about right, if they open the lower quad, could even get about 10,000........but even if ya desperate to go..will be in the pprawn sandwich, quiet ends, Man utd tickets will be on general sale ...so can even look for this option in the family stands....

MARK RUSSELL'S BLOG: Flat Cap and whippet Exhibition

Mark Russell: fine art photographer. I grew up in Trinidad (Caribbean)and then moved to West Yorkshire, where I am currently based. Studied Photography at Reading college, 94-96. There I had an opportunity to explore different areas and specialized in press photography in the second year. In 2010 I joined the west yorkshire print workshop to explore printing techniques and black/white darkroom printing. Had my first exhibition there later that year. I endeavor to continue building the collection and use this blog as a way to share my thoughts and the latest work. Photographs can draw us in and perhaps start a narrative or have some further meaning about them.
