Great hat
The leather is good quality, although the elastic band on the inside leaves stich marks on my forhead when I take it off. Like the hat...should be cheaper though because I don't feel like it is 100% high quality. -
It's part of me
It replaces a hat I had for many years. I expect to get years of comfort and good looks from this one. Very nice item

Herman Cain comes to Alabama
OHATCHEE , Al. October 29, 2011 — Yesterday, the "Cain Train" bus toured through Alabama, led by the most unconventional Republican candidate in the 2012 presidential race, Herman Cain. The Southern born and raised businessman has been quite a phenomenon, puzzling the media with his simplicity and popularity . Now a front runner in the GOP field, Cain scored above President Obama in polls released earlier this month .
Cain drew a goodly and enthusiastic crowd in Anniston, Alabama at Ft. McClellan's Cane Creek Golf Club on a chilly Friday morning. The event was sponsored by the Calhoun County Rainy Day Patriots Tea Party.
Audience members included those holding "Herman Cain 2012" signs, a fellow waving a sign that said "Abolish IRS," and a black woman wearing a shirt that pictured Frederick Douglass and touted limited government and personal responsibility.
Cain spoke on the club front porch, wearing his signature gold tie and a black cowboy hat. I was able to watch the speech from behind Mr. Cain, amusedly noticing the blank podium. No teleprompter, script or notes for Herman Cain. The man speaks from the heart, and the former mathematician, ballistics analyst and business executive has his facts and figures down.
Women's war stories go untold | Flat Hat News
,] We have a mission and a duty to bring critical issues to light,” Lee said. “‘Women, War and Peace’ looks at war … and reconciliation through the eyes of women.”
A discussion between four panelists followed.
“Many women [in Iraq] don’t have this opportunity for education,” panelist Abd Ali, a biochemist from Iraq, said. “Women have [a] very strong effect on rising generations; this could help the rise of peace if many women were educated.”
All panelists agreed that educating women abroad, especially in critical areas of conflict, could shift the patriarchal power structures in their favor.
“We need women not just in grassroots movements, but in leadership positions,” Christie Warren, panelist and director of the Marhall-Wythe School of Law’s program in comparative legal studies and post-conflict peace building, said.
The panelists argued that because women are the ones in these areas that care for families and make networks within their communities, they understand the extensive damage war causes and are less likely to engage in it....
VOX joins rally in Richmond for abortion rights | Flat Hat News
Student representatives from the College of William and Mary’s branch of Voices for Planned Parenthood joined more than 250 other pro-choice activists from around the state at the Rally for Women’s Health in Richmond Saturday to protest new regulations designed to limit access in Virginia to abortion providers.
“[Reproductive care] is really an issue for the younger generation. There is a tendency to sit back and let the older generation take care of it, but when you think about how many incidents of sexual assault, unplanned pregnancies and STIs are occuring at the college level it’s really a shame that we are so lax in our defense of those services,” President Greg Callagehan ’14 said.
The Virginia House of Delegates recently voted to amend a health bill, SB 924, to include an amendment classifying facilities that perform five or more first trimester abortions per month as hospitals. The bill was passed by the Senate in February and approved for signing in March. If the bill passes fiscal analysis and is signed by the governor, the law will go into effect by Jan. 1, 2012.
