Naim SuperUniti - high-end in gezinsverpakking
Naim noemt de productcategorie waarin de UnitiQute en NaimUniti vallen All-in-One. Nu kun je vraagtekens bij het all gedeelte plaatsen, want de Naim UnitiQute beschikt in tegenstelling tot de NaimUniti niet over een cd-loopwerk.
Maar met de standaard combinatie van FM/DAB radio, UPnP streaming, DAC, iPod connectie en versterker zijn de Uniti apparaten wel erg compleet te noemen. Onlangs is de SuperUniti toegevoegd aan de Uniti-lijn, waarbij het Super-gedeelte in de naam aangeeft dat we met een top-of-the-line product te maken hebben. Zonder cd-loopwerk.
De SuperUniti is eigenlijk een combinatie van drie zeer gewaardeerde Naim apparaten: de SuperNait geïntegreerde versterker, de Naim DAC en de NDX netwerk speler. Maar dan verpakt in één, elegante en stijlvolle behuizing. En daarmee mag de SuperUniti zich wat ons betreft High-End in gezinsverpakking noemen. Compact, geen overvloed aan bekabeling, eenvoudig te bedienen, bijzonder goed klinkend en bovendien ook nog eens fraai om te zien.

A company I worked for produced a PSU with very similar components, which we sold for less than £100. Of couse we hadn't hand tuned the off the shelf, very cheap, mass produced regulators for optimum sound ;-) We had two smoothing caps though! Still, didn't stop me buying a Hi Cap, which is just bigger/more stuff in a smaller box! On the subject of the Hi Cap, when I bought mine for my 72, I was going to A/B it with 140's pre amp supply....
FS: Naim Flatcap2 power supply and Stageline MM phono-pre
For any of you head-fiers using a Naim Headline2 amp, or anyone interested in an excellent phono-pre.
Pristine Flatcap2 bought from dealer as a demo piece about a year ago - not a scratch or blemish anywhere. SN# 205XXX (2004). Includes original box, manual, and 5-pin SNAIC cable. i'll also throw in a Tibia power cord free, a $25 value. This PC is a NANA recommended upgrade over the old standard.
This PS can power 2 items - an excellent upgrade for a Naim cdp, pre-amp, or Headline, and makes for an excellent combo with an immaculate Naim Stageline N-version phono pre-amp that i also have for sale (appropriate for MM or HO MC carts) - SN# 172XXX (2001). If bought together, i'll throw in a Naim 4-5 pin DIN cable free, a $155 value.
