Trend alert! Faux fur takes over London | life4less
As you can see from the pic above, I was in attendance at the opening night of Winter Wonderland in London’s Hyde Park . A fantastic night out for the family, Winter Wonderland has everything from sizzling sausages to white knuckle rides, ice skating, Christmas shopping and a giant big wheel. Even Matt Cardle was there, posing for pics and enjoying a mince pie – so it MUST be cool.
Perhaps the trend was magnified because I was at the opening night and there were lots of celebrities roaming around, but the Winter Wonderland experience left me in little doubt that a faux fur craze has gripped a high percentage of London’s fashion followers.
Everyone was wearing it in one guise or another – even my seven-year-old son was strutting his stuff in a faux fur-trimmed trapper hat!
Sometimes, it is worth saying “if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em” – and when it comes to faux fur, it’s warm, practical and utterly glamorous, with the added bonus that no animals were harmed in the process of making you look like an A-Lister. Happy days…
