To reach Fort Vancouver National Historic Site , take Exit 1C from Interstate 5 in Vancouver, Wash., to Mill Plain Boulevard and turn east on Mill Plain. Turn right on Fort Vancouver Way and then left (at the traffic circle) to East Evergreen Boulevard. Follow signs to the fort's visitor center, which includes interpretive exhibits and films; a driveway connects to the reconstructed fort.
Visitor info
You can visit the fort during the day, too. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, the Visitor Center is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the fort is open noon to 4 p.m.
Regular admission to the fort is $3 per person, or free for ages 15 and younger. The pass is valid for 7 days. Admission is free this weekend for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, Jan. 14-16.
