Looking at hats for my Step Dad for Christmas, couldn't remember which one he wanted but I did know what the one he wanted looked like - but I couldn't see any visible differences between the two types of hat?! Is it just a difference in name or...
No difference really in visuals, but Fedoras are longer-brimmed. I'm sure your step dad would never notice what type of hat it is.
