It should thoroughly bore you to know that I was once, sometime back in the previous millennium, a pupil at The Royal Hospital School, which was originally based in the building that now houses the Royal Maritime Museum.
By the time I attended they had moved the school to Suffolk, thus rendering this pathetic anecdote something of a non-sequitur. However, they did have a strict No Girls rule, one that I have endeavoured to keep throughout adult life.
